Going Green Inside & Out!

Our Planet - Earth: In this modern world of disposable things that can be used and thrown away at will, we have all forgotten that some things are not disposable or replaceable. We have only one planet, and we are abusing it in such a caviler fashion that it may soon be at the "point-of-no-return" in our lifetime. Do we really want to leave behind a mess for our

children to deal with? But, what can one person, or one family do that will make a difference? This is my proposed answer to that nagging question.

The title of this article, "Going Green Inside & Out!", is meant to point out the fact that there are more problems than just outdoor pollution, and/or issues of poisoning our environment. Since we do not spend as much of our time outside in nature as we do inside man-made structures, I will be spending some time focusing on the "inside environment" as well as natures tragic examples of man's careless pollution of our land, lakes, streams and air.

I would love to have your feed-back and will make a monitored comment available for that purpose in the near future.

Let me say here that, even though there are groups who are "environmentally conscious", I do not agree with the methods of some, which include breaking into facilities, and otherwise breaking the law in order to make a point. There are other means to the same end. It is right up there with the same line of thinking as the terrorists using extreme tactics to make their "cause" a matter of public discussion. In short, it is just wrong.

That being said, I will attempt to create a forum for the concerns of ordinary people - like me - who live and breathe on this planet, and want to leave it in a condition we can be proud to pass on to our children, and their children's children.
